Hi Minky,

I am working on a concept shoot for a commercial campaign for a charity (Diabetes UK) supported by a famous brand. The campaign, titled "Your Future Is In Your Hands" will use two mediums of visual communication - photography and illustration to communicate my message to my audience.

I was wondering if you'd be interested in collaborating with me for this project? I have got a great team together - a photographer who is excellent at people and documentary style photography, and a really good illustrator and graphic designer.

I aim to have about 5 images in the end - one for each of the major effects of diabetes. The 5 images will be shot with different models from different backgrounds and age groups. This is to emphasise that Diabetes can happen to anyone.

The looks will be very simple because I want the models to look like normal, everyday people engaging in different day - to - day activities. The shot for which I wanted to cast you, is about a young girl putting on her shoes to go out for a run. It will be an indoor shoot in East Acton (my photographer is excellent!). The image will then, in post production, be used to give the message - "Advanced diabetes can cause amputation..prevent it now while you got the time". The post-its will be used to do that - it will have the illustration of a prosthetic leg on one of your legs. The concept of the shoot is such that, without the post-it, it looks like a normal picture of a beautiful healthy, young girl just getting ready for a run, and with the post-it it gives a thought provoking message.

Along with the images of the shoot, we will also be taking a lot of your candid shots and portraits. I will make sure everyone on this team goes back home with something to go into their portfolios. So, about that, I assure you you have nothing to worry about.

I'd love to share more details and show you reference images of what i'm planning on doing, should you be interested. If this project is of expected quality and done well, it will be pitched to the brand! Let me know if you'd like to be a part of this.
