About Me

My email is [email protected]

Fashion for me is part of our every day life, it is our culture, our non verbal language, our way of expressing who we are. Fashion is a Freedom. It has always been a way of living for me, the etiquette and a way of presenting myself to others. And eventually it became my life and an endless source of inspiration, a powerful force or expression, my strength.

I got my first education in fashion from my mother. Picture a five year old girl being stormed back into her room to change her clothes, because her father didn’t coordinate the colors correctly, and the shoes just didn’t work with that shade of pink. I used to hate that whole dressing up thing. But it definitely instilled a sort of a discipline in me for good.

I started drawing when I was three and by five I was sketching dresses, mostly of queens and very royal outfits. Somehow I always adored the flamboyance with taste. I learned how to sew when I was five as well, the very basics that is. We had the old fashioned Singer and it was pretty much just the sort of thing women in my family were accustomed to doing anyway. I learned how to thread the machine, how to crochet, knit, do embroidery. Being a perfectionist even then, it became an obsession for me to work tirelessly over my projects, even if it was something meaningless to others.

When I was about nine years old, I remember making costumes for the shows I would produce and write, starring my sister and cousins for the enjoyment of my parent’s guests. What a wonderful time that really was! You would think my parents would get the hint I would never be anything but an artist! Parents, please never ever stand in the way of your children’s inclinations. They will inevitably go back to who they truly are.

After living in France and Italy for a few years, I became very attracted to theater. I took classes in Nice and Monaco. Alas, when I told my parents I wanted to be an actress, they didn't even want to hear any of it.

At 17 years of age, I decided to go to New York to study journalism. I had to convince my father that I would come back in two years. I got an associate's degree, just so I can please my parents and have a " stable" job. I ended up modeling instead and styling for photo shoots. I just felt that it was always my world: the world of art in any shape or form.

In 2011 I had reached a point of true surrender, when I realized, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. It was around that time, that I had rediscovered my passion for sewing that was dormant all that time and I never stopped sewing since... There are no words to describe my thirst and passion for designing and therefore fashion. It moves through me and I am merely a vessel. And I am so grateful that I have been given this opportunity to create.
