Alexandra, born and raised in Upstate NY. Currently working full time as a hairstylist in a boutique style salon in Wappingers Falls, NY. I specialize in color (single tone, highlights, balayage, ombre, corrective, any type of color- you name it, I do it) and haircutting (women's scissor, razor, short, long, men's scissor and men's barbering) as well as styling of all types. As of now, I focus on my clients in the salon but I have wanted to branch out and do private photo shoots and video shoots in which I style the hair and do whatever pre-work is necessary (ie: coloring, cutting, etc) and direct the shoot. My personal philosophy is not to pick an idea for a shoot, but to shoot the person and whatever they bring to the table is what I work with. I want to shoot people as organically as possible, not forcing them to portray an image I particularly want to depict. For me, it's all about the hair. That doesn't mean that we won't get a killer shot, though. Good hair should be able to stand out on its own without every single shot being about the hair entirely. I am interested in finding models through this site, as well as finding photographers and wardrobe stylists as well.
