I'm a photographer and retoucher who is also learning to do makeup for photography. This is the MM profile that I've made to showcase my retouching work. They are a mix of photos that I've taken myself and retouching work that I've done for others. My primary interest is in beauty. I've had a personal interest in beauty and cosmetics for years, and it seemed like a natural progression to take that and put it into beauty work in the form of photography and especially retouching.

I am particular about keeping textures , I love a luminous look, and I pay attention to form and structure. I am very aware of the possibilities with makeup, and its ability to enhance OR completely change the way a person looks. Makeup artistry has definitely influenced the way I retouch; likewise retouching has changed the way I do photography and makeup. It's like a constant feedback loop where all 3 inform each other. I truly enjoy the process of learning, and I am constantly picking up new looks, new techniques, new ways to see and perceive in the realm of photography.

What I love about modelmayhem is that there is an veritable ocean of knowledge here being shared by real working professionals in the industry. I've been lurking and reading without a profile for a while now and have learned so much from the forums, and I hope by finally signing up perhaps I can give a little back.
