  My first foray into photography began in late 1978 or early 1979, as a student of photography at Weddings by Hutchinson, a professional studio then located on Grace St in Richmond.

  After a number of years shooting on a contract basis for Hutchinson's, I branched out, shooting dozens of weddings on my own for the next 25 years.
 
  In 1992, I discovered a love for shooting NASCAR, and was able to obtain photo credentials and shoot at tracks such as Charlotte Motor Speedway, Dover Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, Pocono Raceway, Darlington Raceway and Richmond International Raceway.

  In August 2001, I was asked to finish the racing season as track photographer for Langley Speedway in Hampton, Va and served the remainder of 2001, all of 2002,2003 and 2004 as their official photographer. In 2007, I was asked to return to Langley as their photographer for one season.

  In November 1995, I began a 10 year run as photographer for the Miss Southside Virginia Scholarship Pageant. Additionally, I spent several years as photographer for the Miss Southern Virginia Scholarship Pageant as well as The Miss Powhatan/Miss Chesterfield Scholarship Pageant.

I am a credentialed Correspondent Photographer for American International News Service based in Lewisville, N.C.  As credentialed photographer, I have photographed the Miss Virginia Scholarship Pageant held each June in Roanoke, Va, during the pageant years 1996-1997 as well as 2003-2006
.
I was signed in May 2009 as contract wedding photographer for The Pros Entertainment Services.
