About Me

Hello there my name's Paul and if your reading this, my profile has allured your gaze and you clicked on my profile, struck with slight curiosity and would like to see exactly why I’m on this site and what I have to say about it.

It's difficult to pick a starting point so ill just begin with what my initial interest with modeling was.

Modeling has always been a large aspect of the fashion industry and flurries of advertisements, with intent of selling new products, touting different styles of the year and season and the faces that promoted them. I personally thought I had the goods in the physical department (without trying to sound too narcissistic) but my wardrobe strictly existed in a realm of t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers. Imagine the wardrobe transition as I grew into my twenties and this slowly became a personal taboo. As I grew older my taste in clothing became more refined not saying I do all my shopping chez Hugo Boss, but my sense of style evolved and no longer did the my tried and true t-shirt and jean approach feel adequate. I started to take more notice of fashion styles, advertising, and presented model fashion ensembles. From this, I began accumulating more “age-appropriate” clothing. It was a fashion transitional period. My transition was quite a bold step, having to upgrade an entire wardrobe isn’t as straight-cut as it sounds. Especially for a grad student, but once I had the fundamentals it was easy to add a slick blazer here and a colorfully peppy button-down there.

But I still haven't told you what got me into modeling. Yes a part of it is having a more refined palate for fashion (Askmen.com is site I’ve gained a lot of insight from) however it really started when I began paying more attention to my wardrobe. I could see common ground shared between myself and the gentlemen in those charming fashion photographs, each respective appearance seemed to mesh together. I thought to myself, “Wow! I could see myself in that guy’s shoes and not look one bit out of place.”

There were the outspoken voices other than mine that egged me on as well. I've been told by friends, co-workers, and family that I had potential to be successful with modeling and I thought that I had what it took as well but the fact that I was camera shy didn't help matters all too much. Then I met my current girlfriend, being the most amazing and beautiful person I've ever met, had a plethora of experience working in the industry as a model. She too gave me encouragement. I was still hesitant, I mean I'm far from being eccentrically extroverted but I don't become claustrophobic with fear around crowds or having to make conversation with another human being. Let's just say I do the most of my talking in my head than with my mouth.

After the accumulation of different perspectives with similar direction, I finally pushed myself to get out there and try my hand at modeling. So here I am, and now you know a bit about the who and why. I would really enjoy the opportunity to work with some of the creative minds in the industry if given the chance. Thank-you for visiting and good-luck with all your future endeavors.
