I come at photography from a literary perspective. I believe that the best and most powerful images, like language itself, often reveal themselves on their own terms. I don't insist on the term "fine art photographer" but it is a fair one, as most of my work is conceptual in nature. Rather than "fine art" I would elaborate a bit more and say that for me the "best art" is art that is free of compromise, and represents the unfiltered, unaltered vision of the artist, or in this case, the photographer. I am present primarily on Instagram and may be contact there directly.

A photograph that conveys emotion, and finds resonance with the viewer is always my intent, and my minimum standard. When it comes to portraiture, I prefer conceptual portraits, as opposed to simply posed and executed technical shots. I am always looking to bring to the finished image, the intangible aspects of the subject. Finally, I am highly professional, courteous, reliable and kind. I love to make my subjects feel at ease and highly valued, because they are all, without exception, just that!

In closing I hold a romanticist's view of the world, and believe that where one finds beauty, they will also find truth. Anachronistic perhaps, but still at the core of how I hold and point my camera!
