About Me
**Important Update regarding COVID-19**
Remote shoots now considered. Over 90 references elsewhere, can link them if you need them. I've not been active on this platform until recently. About me I am Professor Dark.. That does not mean that I hide in an old fashioned 'Dark room' as I am very much an open book or in this case a photo album. Whilst my background is as a scientist, photography is the world where I am free to experiment away from the constraints of hypothesis and logic. The result of my artistic ventures so far has been the culmination of a variety of aspirational images some of which have been Internationally published across the UK, Europe, North America, and Australia. But don't just take my word for it. Have a browse and let my portfolio speak for itself Work I tend to work from my own place in Weston-super-Mare, hotels when I'm traveling or even at your own home (if you're willing and able). If I've added you to a list, it's because I would like to work with you at some point. If you see this and want to collaborate, please drop me a line and we'll sort something out. If you're expecting payment in cash, please wait for me to contact you. I do not only shoot nude. Just because my profile has a lot of this, doesn't mean I'm only shooting that. Music I'm well aware that a lot of people (myself included) work better with some sort of music in the background. I've got a wide range of music at my place (ripped CD collection - CDs are in storage, current CD collection and access to Spotify), including a wireless speaker for shoots elsewhere. Please let me know any albums etc you fancy as a playlist for the shoot... Rates I work mostly for Trade now. I say mostly because if some superstar comes along and wants a fiver for the train and a creme egg then it's definitely something to consider. You'll get a number of shots at a range of file sizes that'll be agreed before the shoot. Please don't send me messages that follow the format of "Love your work, here's my rates". I'll reply politely, but chances are I'll be put off. If I'm able to pay, I will approach you :) Me Some of you may have read the above as someone who's too serious about everything, but honestly I'm not. Check my references, email them directly and ask what I'm like to work with. Late cancellations I understand these happen, and until recently I've never really felt the need to write a statement about it. Things happen, I get it. Allergies, illness, family, transport. It can happen to anyone. I would expect, following a late cancellation (within 72 hour of the shoot, unless it's a last minute shoot), that it would be rescheduled relatively quickly afterwards. If it's at my place, it's not really a bother. However, if I've specifically booked a location to work with you - studio, hotel/venue etc, this will most likely have incurred a cost. I'm an amateur (meaning I don't get paid for this), so please don't extract the urine. If it's a studio booking, the studio will also be notified, and they can do with the information as they see fit. Retouchers: Please don't contact with a "love your work, here are my rates", it's insulting. I seem to be getting a lot of messages along this line from a very specific part of the world, and the communications read as far from professional. If I need a retoucher, I'll approach those whose work I know and trust directly. 99.99% of my work is as if it were film - pretty much straight out of the camera. I'm not going to change my style to suit your financial needs. Verified Credits (2)Worked with Into Darkness? Share your experience and become verified! Add Credits"We shot together after he replied very quickly to my casting call. The first shot we took near the window with the reflection was lovely & I really enjoyed his productive ideas as well as time. Thanks so much for a great day & showing me the super “mud” which is actually quite nice with a dock I wish I did walk. I took a bus from Bristol there and back & he helped me get to his place and back to the bus stop. Would highly recommend him & for sure work with him again in future. Thank you." Read less
