I am a working photojournalist and a classically-trained photographer who prides himself in capturing the definitive moments.
I have always loved photography, but really only took it up professionally around 6 years ago, first as a sports photographer, and then as a full-fledged photojournalist. During the process of obtaining my journalism degree, I happened to take a black and white film class, and was instantly hooked on the combination of art and science that is fine-art photography, and I haven't looked back since other than to check the lighting.
I prefer to work in a more organic, journalistic style, that allows the true personality of my subject to project through the poses, clothes and props.
As well as a good stock of modern equipment, and portable lighting, I am also a nut for vintage cameras, and often shoot in both 35 mm and medium format film whenever possible.
I am an adventurous photographer, who never turns down the opportunity to attempt something new in photography. Currently I would like to begin to focus on putting together a gallery-style collection of elaborate shots. Shots that tell their own stories.
