My name is Melissa Matos, I am a 19 year old graphic Design student at Rutgers Univeristy (Newark Campus). I was born in Bronx (New York) but I was taken to the Dominican Republic to get raised there for about 12 years. After that, me and my family came to the U.S. for my education.

To be honest I always had that passion not only for graphic design but also for modeling. Modeling for me means the ability to show your inner spirit without the necessity of talking. My main focus on modeling would be the "comercial or photographic area." I believe that my height is probably not enough to meet the requirements of a runway, so I want to go for the photographic field for certain companies. I do not do nude pictures. Critiques or criticism don't get me down; on the contrary, I take critiques or criticism as a way to improve myself. I love getting suggestions and ideas, I love creativity; again, the more ideas I get, the better I can become. In terms of my style, I am very diverse, I can go from sporty to classy, classy to sexy, sexy to casual, casual to formal; it all depends on the occasion.

My goals in life are very basic: Family, Graphic Design, money and modeling of course. What I want from this site is to give me the opportunity to promote myself as a model. Althought I don't have the experience of a model, (due to the fact that I am 5'5 which means that I don't qualified for certain companies and I was not willing to pay for an agency either) I want to show to other people that height is not a limit and when you have a passion for something you should go for it. Again, my main focus is on Print modeling or even modeling for clothing lines for websites, makeup, hair etc.
