About Me

The initial idea, then visual development that defines my working method is usually just a jumping-off point. I'm constantly evaluating the thought processes that go into each of my images. I consider myself as much an artist as a photographer. I guess that's due to my 20 years in digital imaging. Over time I've created or adopted new photographic styles but never discarded the old ones. I don't work with just one style of photography.
I've joined MM for two reasons. First, to source new talent for client's work and secondly to engage with talent who want to expand their portfolio by working with me on my own projects. For example, you'll see in my portfolio images such as CRIMSON PETAL, JACK McCOY and MADDIE DOES PARIS a method I've titled IMAGE CONSTRUCT. It's an new photographic style and I'm in the stages of putting together a body of work before promoting it (see website RICKGIBSONSHOOTSPEOPLE.COM)
