Defines photography as the play of the light on emotions. Motivated by the constant search of beauty and appreciation of her surroundings, which is reflected in an image that exudes a sense of feeling.
With this conviction Torselli toured several countries in search of what she calls "the photo", an effort to communicate emotions through instantaneous precise moments in time. The photographic areas that she finds captivating are documentary photography, with the objective to dignify the human condition; and landscape photography, in order to express respect for nature and ecological balance.
That is why her photographic catalog has revolved around these fundamental aspects of respect for life. Her exhibits and shows are also directed to these issues. We can mention:
her own exhibit “Colors of the Horizon”, a showing of her landscape work which was held in Centro Gerencial Las Margaritas at the beginning of 2015. Afterwards, she presented in Santiago de Chile, on November 2015 her expo “Guatemala: Photographic Essay" in the audiovisual gallery Aldea del Encuentro de La Reina. This same exhibit was transferred on December 2015 to the Luciérnaga Art Gallery in Santiago. She was awarded with the Ricardo Mata medal in Artistic Photography 2015, acknowledged by the National Newspaper and Periodicals Library and the G&T Foundation. On May 2016 she was selected to participate in the Latin-American group exhibit “Art in May”, promoted by the Rozas Botrán Foundation, one of the most important art exhibitions in Central America.
Participated in the GIZ 2016 Photography Scholarship in Berlin, Germany.
She has exposed and has been a lecturer on a variety of photography subjects. Furthermore, she has participated as a guest judge in many art-related events. She takes on social photography as a volunteer. Part of her work has been published in national and international magazines. She graduated Cum Laude when she obtained, both, her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration, field she developed on before she decided to devote herself completely to photography.Her work has been exposed at Caos’ group expo, at the Festival Ixchel Arte de la Mujer and Caos Small Format Exhibit, all were held in 2014. In 2015 her exhibit Colors of the Horizon was held in Guatemala. On November 2015 she will have an exhibit in Santiago de Chile with her work Photographic Essay of Guatemala. Her judgment on photography is that of communicating emotions through instantaneous moments forever frozen in time. Based on this experience Cronica + Foto was born, with which she seeks to transcend the experience of the imagery and the word to explore and perambulate spaces from your computer. She has exposed and has been a lecturer on photography subjects. Furthermore, she has participated as a guest judge in many art-related events; the latest judged was the Giant Kites A Category of the Festival de Barriletes Gigantes in Sumpango 2014. Holds a portfolio with eight countries around the world in which she has been seeking for what she calls “the” picture. Part of her work has been published in national and international magazines.
