For the past 30 years I've been a photographer in the "serious hobbyist" category. My goal is to make the transition to professional photographer. Here at Model Mayhem I hope to build up a professional portfolio by working with local models in my area.

Photo shoots are a collaboration between me, as the photographer, and you, as the model. That means we are a team, and a shoot can't happen without both of us. Yes, I come to the shoot with a concept in mind, but you might have an idea that takes the shoot in a totally different direction. And that's how collaboration works. When we work as a team, we get great photos!

When you are comfortable on a shoot, we get great photos! If you aren't comfortable on a shoot, it is a waste of your time and mine, because it will show in the photos. I have raised two daughters and have an 8-year-old granddaughter, so I understand the safety concerns of models in this day and age - especially when working for a photographer for the very first time. You are welcome to bring an escort with you, as long as they won't disrupt the shoot and are willing to lend a hand (like holding a reflector and such). That way, you have someone you trust with you, and I gain an assistant!

All of my shoots to date have been TFCD as I am retired and on a fixed income. But I also know that you models are trying to make a living at this as well. So let's talk and see if if we can come to an agreement that works well for both of us! :o{>
