I am not trained academically. I've slugged my way through painting, off and on, for some time now. I do remember a painting teacher, for a class I attended for a month and a half before stopping, saying, "let your mistakes surprise you." I love that. Painting is a process for me. Each piece is its own. After laying one out and getting it down roughly, it then becomes an exercise in "getting out of the way". I also do photography and am willing to explore this more if my work catches anyone's eye, and they think it might be a beneficial collaboration. I want to paint women in simple, classical, and elegant portrayals. If you would like to be painted or photographed please let me know.
