My work is centred on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The use of large format cameras combined with alternative techniques, such as long expired Polaroid film or the wet plate collodion process, let me perceive and represent a beauty that is imperfect, impermanent and incomplete, the balance between presence and absence, harmony and desolation, peace and loneliness.
I am an experienced photographer dedicated to the study and practice of old photographic techniques. In the last years I have been working mainly with the wet collodion process invented in 1851.
