I have been shooting natural-light, scenic/nature photography for many years, and I am now looking to build my portfolio of models in both scenic outdoor and studio settings, with the same objective that has guided my nature photography: using the technical tools of photography to capture and convey an image of the world that reflects as much of the world's complexity, diversity, beauty, sensuality, and wonder as can be captured and communicated in a single image. In shooting images of people, a critical component of meeting that objective involves understanding the personality and interests of the model herself in order to reflect realistic images of human nature through photography. I prefer naturally composed images over "posed" shots. I'm interested in working with a variety of models, 18 and over, from novice to professional, who have similar objectives and want to work together to create inspiring, thought-provoking, creative images.
