By day I'm a seasoned marketing professional. But now, I'm finally sucking it up, putting on my big girl pants and doing what I've always wanted to do - becoming a freelance makeup artist.

I’ve always been into makeup since the days when I tried to camouflage my teenage acne with too-orange foundation and blue mascara. I spend too much money and obscene amounts of time at Ulta, Sephora and department store makeup counters. I genuinely love learning about and teaching myself new techniques. I dig transforming people with makeup.

I’ve been doing friends’ makeup for years and in the past year I’ve dabbled in a more professional way. I’ve done several faces for formal events and even a couple weddings. I practice new looks on myself every single day. It’s my ideal freelance job. I’m ready to go beyond dabbling.

I've had MM recommeded to me by several friends and through beauty "gurus" I follow (read: am obsessed with). I'd love to partner with photographers and others looking to give a relative newbie a chance.

Am I a little scared no one will call? Yep. But hell, sometimes you gotta bite off more than you can chew…and chew anyway.
