After a long, self-imposed hiatus on MM, due to some very frustrating identity confusion, I am thrilled to announce that I am back in the saddle, re-branded and rushing headlong into the mayhem.

A photographer-artist all my life, I am happiest in a dynamic shoot with creative collaborators. I specialize in live theater and performance photography, but also have great passion for careful, deliberate portraiture, glamour, fashion and fine art figure work. Areas of very special interest include androgyny, pregnancy, contortion and bodyscapes. I shoot digital and film, including large format sheet film, both in the studio and on location ... anywhere.

My public work, such as what is presented here on MM, is primarily by digital capture, though I also employ the venerable Polaroid film and its more recent successors. My personal work, on the other hand, while it may feature those instant emulsion films, usually also involves a range of historic and experimental processes as well, including wet plate collodion photography and daguerreotypy. Preparation for these shoots, and the obsessive selection of models for them, takes weeks and they become exciting, highly collaborative artistic adventures.

Though at this stage of the game, I primarily work for hire, with very reasonable rates, under certain circumstances I do accept TFCD/TFDF requests. It depends on so many factors, including my calendar and availability, the purpose and parameters of the shoot, etc. It never hurts to ask, so please do; I will not be offended in any way. I was struggling, too, for a long, long time, and still engage in the artistic "struggle" every day of my life.
