I am a Los Angeles based cinematographer and mixed media & glitch artist. I have been photographing for the past 25 years, primarily fine art photography. I am currently producing my first photobook which will focus on alternate bodypainting styles and techniques and using the skin as a canvas in new ways. I have joined Model Mayhem to seek out new talent interested in this style of photography.

I am an active member of Film Independent, the Music Video Production Association, the International Cinematographers Guild Local 600, and also Local 80. I have shot movies for legendary Hollywood directors and producers such as Joe Dante (director of "Gremlins"), Paul Schrader (director of "American Gigolo" and screenwriter of Taxi Driver and Raging Bull), and Roger Corman (producer of "Death Race", "The Little Shop of Horrors").

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I also received a Fine Arts and Design degree from Carnegie Mellon University. Upon graduation from Carnegie Mellon, I traveled to Los Angeles and attended the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts where I received a Master's of Fine Arts in Film Production.

I am a firm believer in the "process" of art as the ultimate message and I do not display my work publicly. I often destroy my work upon completion, only retaining documentation of their completed forms. Three themes consistently run through my body of work: (1) the decay and rebirth of the human consciousness, (2) the fragility of the human condition in relation to the limits of world energy and being, particularly the fluid boundaries of love and rage; and (3) the contextualization of an otherwise inconsequential existence of all life (and non-life) in all worlds (both macro and micro), through an immediate and cerebral response to organic substances and utilitarian materials.

In regards to my own life, I approach my work as a mechanism for interfacing my mind and body to the instinctive hatred and love of the here and now, and the pursuit to cope with the overwhelming distances in human feeling and pain within the vacuum of human existence.
