As a professional model of 12 years, I have learned a tremendous amount from the entertainment industry. The biggest joy and learning curve over the years has been makeup, so much actually that it has become a passion from a very early age.

My passion began when time after time I would be disappointed after spending money for makeup artists for my own shoots. The makeup artist would leave and I would either have to mess with it to fix their work or wash all the makeup off and start from scratch. I knew somehow that I could learn this craft and help myself. I took a few classes, read a ton of makeup books by makeup gods like Kevin Aucoin and Scott Barnes and fell in love with what I learned. I remember so many times I would walk into my own shoots and photographers would be amazed at the work I did on myself, often asking for the MUA's contact info. At 15, I was booking paid makeup gigs over the weekend for numerous portfolio shoots for models and actresses of all ages. Long story short, as my modeling career took off, my makeup work had to be put on the side. I am back at a point where I am working in the entertainment industry full time and decided it was time to pick the brushes back up. :)
