About Me

Writer:
As a writer I have had several pieces published; an area that I am just beginning to explore more seriously. I have editorial experience in many genres; I have recently started a very long-term project of fiction that will take some time before resulting in a first draft. A great deal of research has already been done, this project is more of an adventure and quest, with many miles yet to go. There is a completed draft synopsis, a model or framework that is much like a treasure map for me to utilize in my great quest.

If you care to read the synopsis, which is very much the same as what you read on the back cover of a book when trying to decide if you have any interest in reading it, then here is the direct URL. http://lifelynze.blogspot.ca/p/lifelines.html

My Gnome Friend, Scribewrite Bloggens, AKA: Scriber, has also helped me to start a poetry blog. Scriber says "It's not just for Gnomes or Gnome Poetry I currently have only one poem published by my Gnome-Boy Thomas Francois."
So please stop by and visit Scriber and I at our blog. You will also find a link to an album with many pictures of The Roaming Gnome and Scriber with some very interesting people, and some really cool things. http://www.poetrygnome.blogspot.ca/

Artist:

My art is passionate and driven. As an artist I am constantly investigating, researching, and exploring subtle realms. I have a growing patronage and my muse continues to breath upon my soul her gentle whispers of creativity and seductions.

My Artists' Statement is one of poetic license, it is not a literal quote taken from my mother, rather it is a culmination of my rejection of illusions held by so many throughout the ages and an embracing of more subtle realities; where nouns are infused with verbs, and life is filled with "split infinitives!"

Mosaics & More: My Artist's Statement

"As a child my mother, in mystical bard-like sing-song rhythm, enthralled me with the magical properties of misty, multi-coloured rainbows; a short incantation that has held lifelong inspiration, not in search of the pot of gold, but rather the magic of color."

I believe that the wide, mixed and varied life of adventure and unique experiences have been blessings; some of which included working as a wrangler, guide and outfitter in some of the remotest wilderness areas of Northern BC, I am a certified saddle maker, having learned from one whom most would consider a Cowboy Elder and a real member of old school Western Royalty. I have also spent time with nobility and an heir to a throne, I have lived hand to mouth on the streets and know what hard times really are about. Again I would ask you to vet me through the links at my art blog URL MyzticArt above.

My goals are to make contacts here that will be of mutual benefit, growth, inspiration and promotion. Networking with professionalism for me means that I enjoy and find joy in making introductions between others, I am a breaking the ice kind of individual; courageous enough to make a first move in settings and events. I have a gift for seeing people through my heart first. So in everyway and context my work involves healing, growth and relationship first.

Collaborations with other professionals that produce profitable end products are important to me, but not more important than the creative process or the integrity of the relationships with the people with whom that is shared. Profitability and success for me is not measured only in gold or silver, fame and fortune, but in the arts great potential to being a catalyst for change and growth in society.

I do have a post graduate education. Having earned a degree in Religious Studies with a major in History that specializes in Historiography. I have a passion for many things, history among them and that at the top of my list. However positive the experience of my university time was, and I did learn some very unique skills that have aided me in my pursuits, I would not place a great emphasis on Degrees, the greatest value of a person is at the core of their being.

I was approached to be an Ambassador for the United Way's 2013/14 Fundraising campaign which I was honoured to accept. An important aspect of most of my work is community orientated, awareness building, helping to create a better world one person at a time through story.

My own story is one way to help bridge gaps, dispel negative stereotypes, help those who suffer silently deal with overcoming stigmas. Chosen as an Ambassador representing those who have experienced Addictions, Mental Health issues and homelessness will be an opportunity for me to give back. I have been helped by numerous agencies that are funded by the United Way and I look forward to contributing in anyway I can.

This Ambassadorship will be a wonderful opportunity to share my story with the positive desire of challenging many of the prevailing stigmas and stereotypes which seem, at times, to still dominate the community landscape. So again I am honoured, giving back and helping to raise funds for the United Way of Central Alberta's 2013/14 Campaign is a privilege.

You can read more about my journey of healing at my art blog, which is the website URL above: "MyzticArt." The links there will bring you to the various press related stories about my journeys as well as my passions, there you will also discover personal experiences in my battle of recovery and healing, my victories as well as my defeats.
