My name is Jimmy, nicknamed “Jimmy Jazz”. Currently finishing up my Bachelor's for photography. I've been photographing bands and events since 2006. Hit me up if interested in working on a photo project.

Background:

I started doing photography in 2006 for my friend's band. A year later I was hired by and independent music production company to take photos at the shows they put together. I was not only responsible for taking photos at their shows but also required to touch up and watermark the company's logo on the photos through Photoshop and get them up on the website. It was a great gig until they went out of business about a year later. 

I then went solo in 2009 and started taking photos of the bands I've met from all the concerts I've been at. I did this for about a year then bands started breaking up or they couldn't afford to hire me as a photographer after a while. I continued to do some photo gigs but found it challenging being self taught while people wanted to work with more diverse and college graduated photographers. I then went to school for photography and so far I've gotten my Associate Degree with photo journalism as my major. I'm currently in pursuit of my BFA in photography. Along with going to school I've been working on photo shoots with local bands and models. My overall goal in life is to have my own magazine publication talking about current events, music, art, and style; the things I've been into since going to college and hanging around Los Angeles, California.

My reasons for joining Model Mayhem is to network with others and create projects with other passionate people who love modeling and photography
