For the young London based photographer Rue Valdo, the camera is a tool for capturing all the details of the world that surrounds him. What on first glance seem like a series of candid documentary snaps, later begin to unfold as a portfolio of carefully composed photographs which speak of Nunes’ own outlook; an unselfconscious embrace of life’s joyful moments, nostalgia and a darkness we prefer to sometimes ignore. He has already been commissioned by The Cut Magazine to lend his talent to creating editorial and fashion spreads.
