Michael Newton, born February 1986, is a photographer favouring portrait images against natural, outdoor backgrounds, although he is yet to find his niche in this early stage in his career. He began taking still images as framing practise while training for his video work. He believes an image should have the viewer’s attention moving around the image, rather than focusing on a singular point of interest.

Working under the business/artist name CamerasLie, Michael is open to assignments in London and Northampton.

Shooting pictures at a boxing contest taught him the importance of timing and precision, as some images may only be available once, for a short time, important for shooting at events, but also true for one-off poses during a shoot with a model.

Michael believes people photograph best against the colours of nature.
