Hi everyone, my name is John Sabados, my wife and I own and operate A Moment in Time Photography, LLC, located in Groton, CT. I'm originally a scenic and travel photographer, and discovered that I very much enjoy taking photos of people. I began doing portrait, weddings, and event photography twelve years ago, and last year moved into the realm of commercial imaging, working with a few models in the area. I expanded to Boudoir and Glamour imaging for clients and have taken on some projects for local nonprofits. I'm looking to expand my skills and experience, and helping someone just starting in the industry is something I enjoy doing. Be it a photographer, model, hairstylist, or makeup artist, this is also how I discovered the models I use today. I'm happy to say I've even made some friends along the way.

I have a unique style of photography, I do not like studio work, as you can see the majority of my images are outdoors on location, part of my scenic and travel roots, I love to experiment with light and special effects. I believe if you get it right in the camera, that’s less time editing on the computer, and more time for photography. My influences include Mr. B. Moose Peterson, Mr. Joe McNally, and Mr. Scott Kelby. I am a fan of Ansell Adams, not so much for his photography, but for his work in the Darkroom, which is where he performed his real magic.

In a world of "Fauxtographers", and scammers today, I would like to add, that I am a professional, our business is licensed, it is insured, we pay taxes, and we are members of Professional Photographers of America. I'm very proud of the fact that we are legitimate. I also think that this community is a great way for the just starting out models and photographers to work together, learn from each other, and share their experiences. I'm also a family man, I've been married for 14 years to my wife Tammy, and we have three little girls. With that in mind, I encourage all models to bring a chaperone to shoots, I do not allow alcohol or drugs at sessions with no exceptions. I will not take a photo that I am unable to work on if my kids are around.

I am looking forward to working with everyone, and am excited to be joining the community.
