Hi, my name is Charlie. I have been a photography enthusiast for more than 20 years. I would describe myself as an amateur photographer. I don't think the word amateur has a negative connotation. After all, the Arc was built by an amateur and the Titanic by a team of professionals. I enjoy the art of photography with film and digital media. Many years ago I actually did dodge and burn exposure in my darkroom. These days I do it from the relative comfort of my computer room. Editing photos with software allows much more creativity than I could have ever imagined in my darkroom days.
