Kat Ferneyhough has been organizing fashion shows, art exhibitions, and independant concerts since she was 17 years old, and while attending the Ontario College of Art & Design and recieving an honours Bachelor of Design, she became thoroughly entrenched in the fashion design world via participation in several fashion shows and festivals in Toronto, including Toronto Alternative Fashion Week, Toronto's One of a Kind Show, Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.

After spending a year in BC to recieve her honours certificate in Fashion Design at Pacific Design Academy, she was struck by the thought Vancouver would be the most ideal Canadian city in which to promote Alternative Fashion - and 8 years later, she got involved with SEAMS (Style, Entertainment, Art & Media Society) to make it happen.

Joining Model Mayhem is the next step in meeting more local designers, models, and photographers to include in her large scale events and fashion projects.
