Friends (7)About Me
I am very much a basic photographer. This will most likely always be a passionate outlet for my creative side and a way to meet other creative and like minded people.
Photography has been a hobby for some years now. I started off like most people and started taking nostalgic pictures of family and friends. In the time before digital the photos were taken on disposable cameras and usually came out terrible with improper lighting, quick shots with no vision of the final image, and various other mistakes. When digital cameras came out, I went and bought a Fujifilm Finepix 3800. It was a fun camera, but the shutter speed was too slow and it became a frustrating device to use. Even in good light taking a picture was difficult if anything was in motion. Maybe at the time I didn’t understand enough about camera functions and the technical aspects of photography at the time to utilize any digital camera to its fullest extent. That camera ended up becoming a dedicated webcam, something it did very well. Over time my shots improved and slowly progressed to taking shots of parts and people for training courses at work. I started writing reports and making power-point slideshows with basic animations made out of my pictures. As coworkers would look at my pictures I became known as “the camera guy” and people started to ask me, “How did you do that?” more frequently. As the hobby progressed further I began to understand the importance of aperture, lighting, and shutter speed outside of auto mode. Today you can rarely find me without at least a compact camera in my possession. My current projects are portraits, silhouettes, and macro shots of the eye. I am open to topless and nude shoots; however that is not my concentration. If I do agree to them, I would prefer the photos be taken in a sensual, tasteful, and complementing fashion. Distasteful erotic is not my style. I do not want to be associated with anything similar to hustler, pornographic, lewd, or illicit variations thereof that focus on exploiting women as sex toys. My aim is to create shots that both the model and I are be proud of. Portraits – I’m looking for models who like masquerade masks, roses, and elegant dresses. Silhouettes – I’m very flexible with these shots. I do indoor shots with a bright white background. Macro eye shots – This has been a challenge for me. I want to take close up pictures with my 1:1 macro lens, but have been completely frustrated with lighting. The shape of the eye makes it difficult to provide light without interfering with the iris or pupil area. If anyone has any suggestions for lighting I would appreciate it. I’m always looking for models that are willing to do TFCD. Then again what aspiring hobbyist photographer is not looking for TFCD models? Verified Credits (0)Worked with Vagabond Visions?
