Chelsea Dowling is a stylist currently living in NYC. She was born in the UK and raised on the west coast in all three states, although she considers her self to be a Californian at heart. She fills her days with test shoots, and assists on photo shoots when she can. Her style although always changing with the times, has a way of remaining classic with a twist. Pulling much of her inspiration from wherever she can find it books, movies, tv, nature, the list could go on. Chelsea’s personal style is a classic prep, with a little bit of a boyish edge.
Chelsea originally began her schooling at University Colorado at Boulder studying cinematography. She soon realized she would rather put together what’s in the picture instead of standing behind the camera. So she left Colorado for the gold fields of San Francisco, to study at the Academy of Art University for fashion journalism with an emphasis in editorial styling. For Chelsea, styling for photo shoots, “ It’s like watching your favorite magic movie moment come to life, and you get to keep that moment forever. I live for those moments, even though they may only last a short while.” Looking forward to the next chapter in her life having recently graduated and move to NYC, life seems to have fallen in place for the styling dreamer.
