Paper Plane Photographs is currently a portfolio in progress for photographer Laura Blain and not an established company. Sometime in the future, Paper Plane Photographs will become more than just an idea but an inspiration to others through the majesty of photographic experience. Paper Plane Photographs does not have a stationary studio; however, we offer one pretty awesome portable studio!

Some stuff you should know before working with me:
1. A meet-up is pretty necessary before a shoot. If you are incredibly busy, we can FaceTime or Skype, but I would prefer to meet you in person. Gathering information about your personality, your likes, dislikes, and other various experiences can be vital to the work we create together. If you are in this for the art, remember that all great works take time. It is worth a cup of coffee to see if we even click. If we do not click, then shooting will be awkward for both of us. I need to know where your boundaries are and how you want to be photographed! This is just part of the process.
2. I do not shoot porn! I could certainly make a lot more money and get my name out quicker, but that is not the sort of material I want to be known for. I am a person with a very strong moral and ethical background. I have done some modeling, myself, so I know how easy you can be sucked into a position that is compromising.
3. I have a full-time job. I work for an electrical company that specializes in wiring swimming pools. I love what I do and I am a people-person. This does not mean I can skip work all the time to meet up because you cannot pick a day.
4. Flakes are a no-go. You have two chances to show me why I should work with you. If you blow it, you blow it.
5. I choose who I shoot. As a photographer that has a primary job outside of the artistic field, I have the leisure of being picky choosey with whom I put myself with. This is never going to change. I will flip burgers on the side before I will put myself in another uncomfortable situation with someone wanting to sue over my second shooter not paying enough attention. If I say that I am uninterested, you can offer me anything in the world and I will still say no.
6. EDITS TAKE TIME. I cannot stress this enough. You're looking at 1-4 weeks time at the moment for results. There will of course be some previews posted on my Facebook and Instagram, but that is about it. You are going to have to be patient. Not only do I have a full time job, but I also have a life, just like you. I workout, I date, I have friends; photography consumes a large portion of my life, but I am not going to put everything on hold to get you a disk. It is YOUR responsibility to get your edits from me, not vice versa. I do not mind setting up a time and place to meet you, but I am not driving across town to give you something for free and waste my gas. It's just not economical. NOTE: If I already have edits in line, your session will go in the order it was shot.
7. Escorts are acceptable. However, if I have to punch your boyfriend for getting in my face, I will. I carry at least 1-knife and 1-gun on me at all times. I am not interested in endangering my life for some pictures. I am okay with spontaneous people and places, but I am not going to endanger anyone involved. I refuse to deal with jealous boyfriends and catty girlfriends. I am quite capable of finding a date, on my own. I do not date my clients, though I have turned some of my dates into clients. My heart is spoken for, so any concerns on that front are fairly moot.
8. I am well versed in the State and Federal laws. Not having taken the bar, I feel I could represent myself pretty well. I'm not interested in your threats. Take action or take your volume down a notch.
9. I am incredibly blunt. If something does not look appealing or flattering, I'm flat out going to tell you.
10. I am in love with what I do. When I shoot, I am the happiest person in the world. When I like an image, it shows. Don't be afraid to enjoy yourself. The entire point of us shooting is to create something awesome and to have fun doing it.
