After living for nearly 25 years in Europe (Ibiza, Barcelona, Madrid, and London), setting up his own fashion label in Spain, and collaborating with other brands such as ISSA LONDON, ELIZABETH EMANNUEL, FREE LANCER TO ALL SAINTS ,VIVIENNE WESTWOOD, among others, the “Spanish-Brazilian” Marcio de Abreu establishes himself in Brazil, where he has worked for Animale and other recognized brands…

After fininshing PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT- PATTERN TECHNOLOGY – from the University of the Arts – London College of Fashion, he chose to follow new paths and in September 2011 he created “The Crown”, his womenswear brand.

Working in a peculiar way with DRAPING (modelling technique in which clothes are designed directly on the body or mannequin), he uses paper instead of fabric to achieve refined trim and shapes in his elegant pieces. The paper takes unusual shapes that resemble small sculptures when removed from the body of the mannequin.

Marcio de Abreu uses his sensitivity to shape different textiles bases, such as jersey (his specialty), refreshing and bringing the work of Madame Vionnet and Madame Gres , great inspirations to his work. Marcio has a pointed look for the female form, highlighting specific features, what each has to offer, from the detail of a neckline shape to the direction of a fold that makes her feel beautiful, sensual and elegant.

All these characteristics and experiences make “The Crown” a timeless and special brand to the eyes of the modern, feminine and elegant women.
