I am a couture dress designer with a wealth of experience in creating custom-made bridalwear, womenswear, fashion garments and costume.
After graduating from Wimbledon School of Art, I spent seven years working for a London Couture House designing tailor-made dresses for professional dancers and clients desiring made-to-measure eveningwear.
As well as working with many private clients, I have worked on several television shows such as ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, ‘Dancing On Ice’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, designing gowns for celebrities and dancers. Different sized television personalities have all worn Jo Irvine dresses, demonstrating my ability to design for every age and shape.
As well as bespoke designs, I also offers an alteration and customisation service. This includes tailoring and embellishing garments to recreate them into something totally different. A few small changes can instantly make inexpensive high-street items look couture.
