Up close and personal best describes April’s approach to hair and education. In the professional hair industry since 2000, she’s on a fast track. April’s accomplishments have not come easy for this mother, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising and an Associate degree in Art. Utilizing her artistic background puts her in line with the fast paced hair industry. Her diverse approach to hair design is a direct result from her education in art.
Working closely at major hair shows with John Paul Mitchell System’s Artistic Directors Robert Cromeans, Scott Cole and Linda Yodice keeps her in the forefront of our industry. As a veteran of the award winning salon, Odyssey 317, April is now the owner of The Odyssey Salon in Lake Charles LA and as a JPMS National Educator since 2001 and JPPet Educator since 2009 she continues to stretch her boundaries making her box bigger. How does she do it ALL? “By maintaining balance in my life and getting away on my Harley Davidson on occasion” says April. Her motto to making things happen is, “Live each day like there is no tomorrow.” And as the great Yoda says “There is no try, there is only do or do not.”
