First and foremost, I am an actor. However that being said modeling, as with acting, is another field of self-expression, and that expression can be just as real and as moving as any feature film or theater production. In a sense, I am looking to further this self-expression by exploring modeling. I have always been into fashion, artistic expression and physical fitness and have always been business savvy, so I figure what better a way to marry these attributes in a productive way than to also model.
Outside of being in a couple commercials, taking pictures for headshots and auditioning for commercial print campaigns, I have very little experience with formal modeling. I have, however, had to create a shot or convey and sell an image for a product, which I would think goes hand in hand with modeling.
I am into commercial production, i.e. product campaigns or editorials, but with an edge. Many high fashion labels (Armani, Gucci, D&G, etc.) accomplish this very well. There's almost always a story to accompany the product. I can also appreciate edgy and independent work, as long as there a strong sense of artistry to it and a clear vision behind it. In fact, I think that gritty or dark depictions can be some of the most meaningful.
By joining Model Mayhem, I am really looking for an opportunity to expand my portfolio, make some great connections and hopefully be a part of some great imagery. At this point, I am open to new things and ready to capture some amazing moments along the way.
