Alejandro was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He attended the prestigious Universidad Simon Bolivar as an Electrical Engineering major.

Thanks to the political unrest in Venezuela, Alex moved to the USA in 1998. He was immediately encouraged to pursue a Cinematography path while enrolled at Palm Beach Community College after winning several award in different Film Festivals. Alex also attended Florida Atlantic University Film Studies program but was persuaded again by his love of Cinematography an started working in various documentaries and traveling the Caribbean, from beautiful Bermuda Island to Haiti.

Most notably, his participation in "90 Miles to Freedom" a closer look at the Cuban exiled community in Miami and "Zora", the Zora Neale Hurston story, cemented his interest in story telling behind the lens.

Alex began his feature work in 2002 with several Independent movies, most of which obtain success over seas. He continues to work in commercial productions and music videos, receiving various awards over the years, including the Top Prize at the 48th annual ADDY awards with Best in Show.
