About Me

RIGAROUS a.k.a RIGA was born in St. Anns, Jamaica W.I. and moved to Queens New York at the age of three. At the age of eight, RIGA battled her obstacles by writing her own songs and poetry. RIGA started taking rapping seriously, in her freshman year of high school. RIGA was inspired by some of the best lyricists in the game such as: Nas, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Busta Rhymes, Cannibus, Eminem, and others. Some of RIGA’s female influences were Rage, MC Lyte and Missy Elliott because they didn't depend on men to write their material. Riga was part of a female group called “DNP” in her freshmen year of high school. RIGA decided to explore being a solo artist when she attended Hampton University in Virginia where she became a part of Virginia's Hip Hop scene. RIGA has done a number of showcases and performances in New York and Virginia. RIGA has a versatile flow and takes pride in writing her own lyrics. RIGA is the newest addition and first lady of PORT LIFE ENTERTAINMENT. She recently created her own promotional company named Amari Ajani Entertainment which seeks to promote artists and brands on the come up. She also has a few blogs. Amariajanientertainment.tumblr.com is an entertainment blog. 2ShyneAwareness.blogspot.com is her urban awareness blog which features motivational entries, global awareness and stories of overcoming struggle. She is currently an Earlychildhood Educator and a Staff/ Parent educator. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Early Childhood Education/ Advocacy and plans to be a motivational speaker and an advocate for women's and children's rights. She is now also furthuring her career as a plus sized model because she is passionate about empowering women and helping to inspire them to do and be better. She is also, in the studio working on her debut independent album with songs produced by some of the hottest producers in the game today.!!!!!
