I have a vintage photo studio in Atwater Village area that shoots fine art tintypes (photo on metal) and ambrotypes (photo on glass) using the wet plate collodion method from the 1800's.

This is one of the first photographic processes that uses silver and light to develop a superior image with a surreal quality that lasts for generations (you can see images from the Civil War using this process that still look as good as the day they were processed). I use a large wooden camera and plate holder with lenses from the 1850's to make my images by hand one at a time.

I am interested in having select models shoot with me in exchange for digital scans of the plates I create with you. I am responsible, punctual and will do what I say I will do.
