At tender age, Candacy Mclean knew just what she wanted to do with her life. Her passion for fashion overflowed making her want to discover more about this amazing industry. Candacy Mclean is a young Aspiring Guyanese Designer. Born on the 30th of Jan, 1993 to parents Dinese Wills and Edward Mclean. Candacy comes from a background of creative individuals who have encouraged her to take up the art of designing. Her first break into the fashion world started when she was placed fisrts runner up in the Facts3 Student designer competition hosted by internationally recognized Guyanese Designer Michele Cole. Later on in 2010 Candacy went on to compete in the Guyana Model Search and Designers Portfolio hosted by internationally recognized Guyanese designer Sonia Noel, though she did not gain a any space in the competition the knowledge and experience gained was enough to carry her though. In October 2010 she then went on to participate in Guyana Fashion Weekend with a collection entitled "Deme Chic" it was a vibrant and fun collection which was highly praised in the local newspapers. Over the years Candacy has been designing for Private Clients. Just recently for Mashramani
(Guyana’s Republic Celebrations) Candacy designed Costumes for the Mash parade which was fancied by many. Now at the age of 20 she intends to have herself discovered as a designer with passion and place not only her name but her country in the FASHION WORLD.
