I have approximately twenty plus years experience as a photographer. I have done paid freelance work, but mostly keep photography as my side job or hobby. Years ago, I began shooting using a film SLR and developed my own black and white negatives and prints. I now use a Nikon D300S and a Nikon D5000 as my 'backup' with a variety of lenses depending on my purpose. I consider portrait photography my specialty. I have done weddings, boudoir, family and children, headshots for business and other purposes, holiday photos, model photos, and engagement photos to name a few. My philosophy as a portrait photographer is that I want to visually tell the story of the individual or people I am photographing. I love photographing individuals and couples the most, as well as children, and strive to capture the true essence of personality in an image. I also enjoy taking photographs of women, such as glamour and boudoir, and believe that every woman should have a beautiful portrait of herself to hang on the wall. In addition, I enjoy getting models together and collaborating on a creative shoot.
