Mercury, the third song from the album "The Planets", interweaves images, stories, historical events, and cultural influences into a glimpse of an American life as seen by Girl Z(Elizabeth). Remnants of the old world in mass consumerism, world terror, faces of the Presidents of the United States of America, define the reality of which she seeks escape. Her son who remains hidden throughout most of the film is an artifact of the future, the hope, reconnection to nature, the positive life force.
