I was trained in photography in the military. I’ve used Nikon F3s in 35mm film, Zenza Bronica ETRS SLR in medium format film and a Calumet 4x5 Monorail in large format. In the military we had to be proficient in Photojournalism, Photographic Copy, Event, Macro and Studio portraiture. Our studio lighting was a Photogenic Studiomaster II lighting system. We also processed our own film and enlarged our own prints, color and black & white.

I’ve worked in the commercial sector in custom color labs and as a commercial studio photographer. I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, starting with version 3.5.

I’ve transitioned well from film to digital, but only on a hobbyist level. I currently use Photoshop CC, among other Adobe software. I currently shoot with a Nikon D600. I’ve been in Information Technology management for many years, but due to corporate layoffs due to the economy I am looking to assert myself back into photography as a business. Due to past financial foibles, my current equipment is limited and I strive toward my goal to obtain professional lighting and specialize in indoor studio photography which is my greatest passion.

I’ve photographed Desert Storm operations and I’ve been published in Airman Magazine on two occasions.

I've won first place photographic awards on the he Strategic Air Command level and I’ve placed third on an Air Force wide level.
