When I was six-years-old my dad put a little Kodak instamatic camera into my hands and I have been taking pictures ever since. A lot of changes have happened in the photography industry since then, but I still love to create images.

In high school I shot for the school yearbook, becoming the Co-Photo Editor my senior year. That experience led to my desire to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia and participate in the journalism program, which at the time was considered one of the best in the world. At MU you don't just pick up a camera and take pictures. I learned how to write and design and sell ads all for a working daily newspaper.

After graduating with a Bachelor's in Photo-Journalism degree, I moved to Estes Park, CO. I did not shoot professionally, but loved to photograph the mountains for my own pleasure and portfolio. In 2000, I married my beautiful wife, Heather, who also is a wonderful photographer in her own right.
