Hello all!

My name is Kenneth Strader and i'm a Southern Virginia born and bred photographer. Growing up, my mother had a small business of her own and so from a very young age I was introduced to photography. One of my favorite memories growing up was getting to go into my mother's dark room when she developed her images and getting to experience that as a young child was absolutely mesmerizing.

I started actually doing photography in high school about 6 years ago, entering some of my works into local festival competitions within the school. As I started to grow as an artist I discovered that my passions rested within the fashion world. It would be my ultimate goal to get to work on shoots for magazines such as Vogue, Elle, etc. and eventually shoot for them.

My work tends to lean more toward the darker, more disturbing side of the human mind with a drop of romanticism. HOWEVER, do not let this fool you into thinking that is all I can do. As you can see in the images I've added I am a very adaptable person and can shoot happy family portraits as well.

I'm a very introverted photographer when it comes to shooting, I stay mostly in my head. Very little talking unless it's to direct. I like for my models to move naturally and I feel it is my job to capture that moment where everything is perfect. Hence the reason for the introversion. Pre-shoot, however, expect a lot of engagement and discussion about the creative process. I also like to let models know what to expect and what I expect from them.

Currently I am residing in Greensboro, N.C. which is about 45 minutes south of my hometown in Virginia. I mainly work around the NC/Southern VA area but will travel with paid compensation, of course.
