My name is BP Rodde I recently moved from San Francisco to Seattle. The Universe sometimes complicates one's well laid plans and I'm no exception to the rule; after being on sabbatical for a year, it's time to complete my series of paintings started in school. This web site is a means for me to connect with professional models within the greater Seattle area.

I consider my work to be queer. It is my intention to create accessible visual statements that show how gender identity has a variety of expression and flexibility that transcends preconceived notions of what it means to be masculine or feminine. By adopting the conventions of traditional nude figure painting, it is my aim to present a visual dialogue that questions what we think we know as a culture about sexuality and what visually signifies gender and orientation.
