About Me

On January 6 1993 in Kingston Jamaica I came into this wonderful world , Growing up as a only child has taken a big toll on my life, I learned to become independent at a young age and I’ve experienced things most kids didn’t, good and bad. My aunt was a hair stylist in Miami’s carol mart for 12 years and growing up I spent most of my time there with her after school and even on weekends. At that time of my life I was completely indecisive of what I wanted to be when I grew up but I always had a strong sense for fashion. Eventually I moved away with my mom to Ft. Lauderdale, were my lifestyle completely changed. I wasn’t around the salon environment anymore and I had no one to do my hair except for my mom, which wasn’t really a continuous task. I could’ve easily found a hair salon around town but I guess going to a random hair salon wasn’t gods plan for me. At the age of 14 I began doing my own hair I took the knowledge I learned from my aunt and the little knowledge my mom knew about hair and combined it. Here I found myself becoming more and more profound in hair styling. Throughout high school I did friends hair every weekend just for a little extra cash in my pockets, but at that time I still wasn’t sure on what my carrier goals would be. When my senior year came around all I began to think about was hair and that’s just all I wanted to do. Sad to say my heart wasn’t into going to college because my motivation for styling hair over powered almost every aspect of my life. Immediately after graduating high school I enrolled at American institute were I studied cosmetology and 1 year after I became a licensed cosmetologist at the age of 19. One of the biggest blessings came upon me in early October of 2012. I became a part of a wonderful team at all dolled up salon and stores, were I got the chance to further my education and become a better stylist while building my clientele. I learned how to work not only as a team but as a family as well and being among such wonderful people is just what you need to keep u strong and focused. An important lesson I learn in life is that good things come to those who wait. It took patience, prayer and motivation to get me to this point I am in my life and all I can do is give thanks to the man above. Like all achievements there’s downfalls and I know this won’t be easy, but I also know I won’t let nothing get in my way or stop me from becoming the successful stylist I’ve always dreamed of. I’m at the earliest point of my career and I have a plethora amount of huge plans ahead and like most stylist I will strive to make it to the top no matter how much hard work, sweat and tears it takes because this is what I breathe.
