As a young boy, by perchance I happened to connect with Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club and their photography program. Working a Rolleiflex 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 camera, I got to load the 110 format film, wind the film gear wheel, look down into the viewfinder, compose, and take my first photographs. The developing and printing was handled by the instructor. From that auspicious beginning, I eventually used the family's 35mm SLR, took photos and developed my own black and white film and prints as the Photography Head of our high school Annual Yearbook.

Alas, my lack of self-confidence back then prevented me from progressing further into the photography program at Langara and I travelled the left brain path of computers and programming. But even in the world of data management, creativity found its place in producing a simple, elegant, graceful computer solution.

Now, I know it is vital for me to express the right brain and its creativity in a visual way that adds more beauty to this world. I love all kinds of photography and can spend hours just in one area in nature, exploring the beauty that exists there.

Model photography has a special place in my heart, as I feel a strong desire through imagery to allow the unique beauty of a woman to express itself. In this transition time of moving from the past patriarchal dominance into a new age where the Divine Feminine is allowed to take Her rightful place and is treated with respect, reverence, and awe, it is a time for women to be seen as the incredible creatures that they are.

I deeply enjoy co-creating an image that expresses some part of that woman, whether it be her beauty, her sensuality, her playfulness, her creativity, her power, her intelligence, her wisdom, her connection, her vulnerability, or her innocence. I also enjoy the opportunity of capturing the dynamism of an athletic, whether she be a dancer, a yogini, a performer, a gymnast, or a runner.
