I am a photographer in the Chelsea, Michigan area, just west of ann Arbor.

I have been doing various forms of photography for 25+ years. However, in 2012 I decided to become very serious about my photography. I took a class at WCC and upgraded all my equipment significantly. Since then I have been working hard to become a better photographer.

Though I love many types of photography, one of my primary interests is fine art nudes (full nudes and implied), No porn, no boring flat light.

To me, lighting is everything. I have studio space in my home where I have backdrops and lights and various modifiers setup. My lighting skills are decent (see portfolio) but I am always learning and working to improve them. (This just means it takes me a bit longer to get the result I want).

I welcome any model who has ideas and wants to collaborate. Classic, simple, or maybe something new.

How I operate:
- My number one priority is that the model must be happy. This is more important than the shoot itself.
- We discuss the shoot before we start and share sample photos or sketches of what we are trying to create.
- Throughout the shoot, I show the model photos on the camera and discuss the results as we go. (so we both learn)
- I normally shoot from 10-15 feet away to give the model plenty of personal space.
