Joshua Peter was born in South Africa. He grew up there until the age of 12 before moving to Vancouver, BC Canada. Josh has been very creative his whole life drawing, painting, and sculpting, wishing to pursue a career in the arts. He attended Emily Carr University of art and design for a single year studying painting and photography, where he discovered the camera. He then decided to attend Langara’s Photo-Imaging Program to pursue picture taking further. His main influences are the great 20th century war and street photographers, and he pursues a photojournalistic style.
