I still do model from time to time but my main reason for getting back on Model Mayhem is that I am looking for models for the vintage clothing portion of my business. I sadly, am locked out of my original Riskay Business account.

Welcome to Riskay Business! So, who am I? What am I? Well, I am a lot of things. After a successful modeling career, traveling the states under the name “Riskay Business.” I decided it was time for me to not only settle my gypsy soul but, return to my roots. I am originally from Chugiak, Alaska and spent most of my childhood hunting and fishing with my dad in the Alaskan wilderness. My dad, once a taxidermist himself. Set the path for me to fully immerse myself back to what I should have been doing all along.

I have held careers as a successful cosmetologist, barber, Desairologist (cosmetology for the deceased), and even spent four years starting and running a worldwide nonprofit assisting veterans with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and TBI (traumatic brain injury). I now reside in Tryon, North Carolina with my boyfriend, our adorable furbabies. I work as a full time taxidermist. Occasionally buying and selling antiques & vintage on the side and volunteering as a Wildlife Rehabber and Educator. I love every moment of my much calmer existence in the beautiful hills of NC.

​I feel it’s important for one to never forget where they come from. One of the ways I do this is by partnering up with a wide range of Alaska Native Artists from back home and offering their beautiful gifts of art directly to my clients. Just as Alaskan Natives, I am someone that truly believes that nothing from an animal should be taken for granted nor wasted. I constantly am learning new skills on how to better utilize the animals as well as offer more variety to my clients.

I have been blessed to be taught and mentored by some of the finest taxidermists in the world and that I am able to go through my life enjoying every single moment of it. I am looking forward to meeting you and seeing what it is I can offer.
