About Me

Beauty, according to the "Wabi-Sabi" (Japanese) view of aesthetic, relates to all things "imperfect, impermanent and incomplete" - a paradox which we subscribe to.  Beauty can also manifests itself in the eyes of the beholder - some of us may find "imperfection and incompleteness" just as alluring. When we try to capture, through our lenses, the various subjects in their most natural state and mood, we also capture that particular moment in time.

There is no everlasting beauty on earth as all living things succumb to the ravages of time - we age but that is the beauty of life.  Anna Leibovitz, a renowned photographer, once commented that she was “...impressed with what happens when someone stays in the same place and you took the same picture over and over and it would be different, every single frame…”.

In that sense MUJOU (無常), meaning "impermanence", is the most powerful notion and underscores the fact that nothing stays the same in this ever changing and evolving world.  Even our perception of beauty varies according to different generations or cultures.  MUJOU is the name we have chosen for our joint collaboration.

What started initially as a hobby or personal interest to photograph friends/ acquaintances/ models in the buff, soon develop into an artistic 'collaboration or partnership', to construct an online platform/portal to showcase our work.  More importantly, the work displayed at MUJOU is our tribute to the models who have helped us define the beauty of male nudity. We appreciate their trust in our professionalism and artistic ability.

Our work at MUJOU is strongly influenced by notable photographers like Rick Day, Vivanco Mariano, Herb Ritts, Greg Gorman and many others.  Our inspiration also comes from various sources such as music, painting and film production, etc.

We hope to meet more like minded people here for collaborative work!
